Oregano oil is derived from wild Oregano plant and its a fantastic antimicrobal which is very good for the treatment of Acne among other skin infections. Oregano oil has been established as natures most potent antiseptic derived from a plant through steam distillation. It is also a destroyer of bacteria because it contains two very active constituents carvacrol and thymol. Oregano oil is also a very strong pain killer so it tackles painful lesions with ease. Now that you have known some of the contents of Oregano oil let me now tell you how to use this wonderful oil in the treatment of acne and pimples. 1) Pour two drops of undiluted oregano oil into a container holding about 8oz of water and wash. your face with this solution. Do it twice a day, after you have washed your face. Do not rinse your face with water after this. Just allow the solution to dry up naturally on your skin. You will start seeing a positive result within 5 to 6 days. If your entire face is not affected, you can soak a cotton ball with some solution and apply it on the area affected, again do not rinse afterwards. 2) Another method of using Oregano oil for treating acne is by topically applying a single drop of the oil without dilution on the eruption itself, twice a day. Before using this method, do a patch test first on your hand or back. If your body doesn't develop allergic reactions then go ahead and use it. 3) you can also add 2 drops of oregano oil into a glassful of juice, or milk, honey and drink it. This method helps to boost digestion which results in blemish free skin. Oregano oil is also used for the treatment of other skin related issues like scratches, cuts, burns, insect bites. Just mix a drop of oregano oil into a tea spoon of coconut oil olive oil or even butter and apply.
